why: because it is such a cool idea to decorate nature! Norm Magnusson is a New York based artist who began his career as a painter with an interest in political art. Magnusson's 'Decorating Nature' project is not as far removed from this pathway as it seems, and is based on his preoccupation with 'mankind's complicated and vast relationship with nature'. He says of his work ' I strive to create art that is both beautiful and meaningful, art that is aesthetically and intellectually accessible and deals with important themes'.
